The illustration of the Moomin family’s happy reunion in front of the Moominhouse is based on Tove Jansson’s comic Moomin and Family Life from 1955. In this story, Moominmamma and Moominpappa rescue Moomintroll from the waves of the sea. Soon, they realise Moomintroll is their long-lost son, and the family can return home together. Complementing this story, the other Family Time items show the reunited family spending time together in leisurely cosiness and exploring the possibilities of the beautiful Moominvalley, where horse chestnuts are in bloom.

Moomintroll nearly drowns. Luckily, Moominmamma and Moominpappa rescue him. Tarinassa Muumimamma ja Muumipappa pelastavat Muumipeikon meren armoilta. Pian he tajuavat tämän olevan heidän kauan kadoksissa olleen poikansa, ja niin he palaavat kotiin uudelleenyhdistyneenä perheenä. Perheen yhteinen tarina jatkuu kuvituksissa, joissa perhe viettää laatuaikaa puutarhassa rentoutuen ja hevoskastanjoiden kukittamassa Muumilaaksossa seikkaillen.

I den här berättelsen räddar Muminmamman och Muminpappan Mumintrollet från havets vågor. Snart inser de att Mumintrollet är deras förlorade son, och familjen kan återvända hem tillsammans.
